ABOUT OUR TOURS
Drift along the tranquil waterway, which stretches for about 4 miles (7 km). You’ll learn about the unique ecosystem of this river swamp and why mangrove conservation is so important in Malaysia. You will spot its residents: monkeys, snakes and iguanas or maybe a python, bat, crab, otter and a monitor lizard.
The Cherating river winds into the mangrove with a special atmosphere of tranquility and it is surprisingly relaxing. Because you are under the trees in the shadows you can't feel the heat from the sun for example.
At night the fireflies take over and offer a unique spectacle. For one hour your guide goes from tree to tree in the black pitch dark and reveals the beauty of the mangrove nights to you.

We have a safety briefing before every trip and our guides are trained and have many years of experience in the Cherating surroundings to ensure that you and the surrounding are safe and in harmony.
